I don't know if that was a marketing technique, to release a shaver with such a high price tag and create a bit of buzz, but it certainly worked for me.
But the truth is, I've tested many shavers and know that the retail price of this Panasonic shaver was just too high.
So I waited until the price finally dropped before I decided to review it.
With my expectations riding very high, I reviewed this shaver and can honestly say my expectations were met.
This is a very powerful shaver which easily shaves through my beard even with 2 days growth. Lots of power, and of course the bonus of being able to use it wet.
The Panasonic ES LA93 K is definitely recommended, especially if you're looking for a shaver you can use wet.

Anyone looking for great value in an electric shaver should consider the Panasonic ES 8249 S.
Not only is it cheaper than many other similar models, it still delivers great shaves. The final outcome is very similar to the more expensive Panasonic ES LA93 K.
I would recommend this to people who are new to electric shavers, or those who may still be on the fence. Spending upwards of $200 on an electric shaver when you've never used one before can be a bit risky for some people.
With the lower price tag of the Panasonic ES 8249 S, it's a great alternative for new users, and even those who aren't interested in spending too much.
Because the shaver is waterproof you can try it wet with shaving cream, or just stick to dry shaves. Both techniques will produce the same smoothness, but if you've never tried wet shaves before, you might just fall in love with them.
Overall, great value for money in an electric shaver.
