I have been using electric shavers all my life but I've always had a problem with neck irritation due to sensitive skin. I try to do softer stroke motions but only helps a little.
I just recently bought the SensoTouch 3D 1280xcc thinking it would be better but it fails to cut the finest stubble which I try to go over and over to cut but then I just get irritated. My old shaver is an older model of the Norelco HS8420. It gets the stubbles that the senso touch isn't getting. That one works well but still had neck irritation so thought by getting one of the best would be better.
I've tried the SensoTouch 3D for about three weeks now and not completely satisfied yet. I tried wet and dry. Wet with lotion seems to really irritate like it cuts my skin easier. I just think it's my skin causing the problem because the slightest razor like from the barbers on my neck I get red and little irritated. I also do shave once a week. I know you mentioned every day or other day for electric shavers would be best.
Any advice would be appreciated. You're videos are great and got some good feedback from them. Anyways, thanks.

Hey there, thanks for the question. Sorry to hear about your current situation.
I personally didn't get a great shave with the SensoTouch 3D shaver either. I experienced a little more irritation when compared to other shavers like the Braun Series 7 or the Panasonic ES LA93 K.
Is there anyway you might be able to return it? They should offer a 60 day return policy depending on where you bought it. If this is possible and you still want to try an electric shaver I would recommend the Braun Series 7.
If you can't return it then hopefully you get a bit more used to it. I was going to recommend using it wet because I found that a bit better, but you mentioned that that wasn't too great for you. I did recommend shaving everyday if you have growth, but if your beard isn't too thick then that won't matter too much, but maybe once a week is not enough.
Again, if you're going to stick with the SensoTouch 3D perhaps adding some pre shave oil might help. A product like Williams Lectric Shave Electric Razor Pre-Shave Oil seems to be pretty popular and might help you out.
Thanks again for the comments, and I wish I could recommend something else but sometimes certain shavers just don't always match up well with people. See if you can exchange it or try some pre shave oil.
You might also want to try changing your shaving technique. Below is a video where I demonstrate how I reduced my irritation a lot. Hopefully you get similar results.
