Shave on Your Way to Work... Why Not?
When searching for the best cordless shavers, there are a few things to consider.
What's ironic is that the whole "cordless" aspect is sort of irrelevant. Most electric shavers on the market
today are cordless shavers which are rechargeable.
So within the cordless razor category there are more important things to examine as opposed to just the
rechargeable feature.
The three main things to consider when researching the top shavers are:
Shaving Effectiveness
Don't let one negative review deter you from a product.
If a shaver gets hundreds of positive reviews and a dozen negative reviews, you should assume you fall into the
majority, unless you have a specific set of circumstances.
For the most part, the more expensive shavers tend to perform better, but there are always exceptions. If you
have very thin facial hair which takes several days to grown in you may not need the top of the line shavers.
On the other hand, if you have very thick facial hair a high end shaver would be best along with a
recommendation to shave quite often. Leaving a thick beard for several days will be difficult for even the most
powerful shavers to deal with.

Price and Ongoing Costs
If a shaver is completely out of your budget then it doesn't really matter how good it is.
Some of the top shavers should influence you to expand your budget, but if you have a very fixed budget then you
will have to settle for a shaver with less features. However, this doesn't mean you won't find a good product.
Many shavers under 100 dollars perform very well.
The cleaning stations will increase the cost of a shaver so it's worth seeing if the same models come with the
razor only option. This will save you around 50 dollars and will just require you to do a manual clean. A
cleaning station will also require you to re-purchase cleaning cartridges so this is something to consider as
well.
If price is a big concern for you then review these shavers in different price ranges.
Extra Features - Cleaning Stations
Some of the extra features with electric shavers aren't really necessary. Things like a quick clean feature or a
quick charge button will most likely not be used very often.
The biggest extra feature with the top cordless shavers is the cleaning stations. If you can deal with about a
30 to 60 dollars per year * ongoing expense for the cleaning cartridges, you will find the cleaning station very
useful and an overall great feature.
However for some models it's not completely necessary, and there is sometimes the option to buy the razor
separately. Many of the Panasonic and Norelco razors can easily be cleaned under running water making the
cleaning station just a bonus.

Recommended Cordless Shavers
Braun Series 7
The Braun 790cc is one of the best electric shavers available.
It is extremely effective and is now available below its retail price which makes it a great deal.
It gives a very close shave and comes with an excellent cleaning station. Out of all the shavers I have reviewed, I still believe this is the best model available.
After comparing and trying out many electric shavers, it's always nice to come back to the Braun Series 7 and really notice how much better it is than many other shavers.
Panasonic ES 8249
The Panasonic ES 8249 is another great shaver which is a little cheaper than the Braun Series 7.
It produces a very close shave which is almost comparable to the Braun.
This particular model also comes with a cleaning station but you can get the cordless razor sold by itself
making it even more affordable.
Overall this is one of the top electric shavers on the market and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a quality shaver, but doesn't want to spend too much.
I personally like the Braun Series 7 a bit more, however when you factor in price, I believe this shaver is just as good as the Braun Series 7. So if price plays a role in your purchasing decision, this shaver is recommended.
